This past summer, the club had 5 Recharge With Milk Triathlon Series winners (age group top 3), with 4 of them winning Series Champions (first place) at the Series Awards luncheon held at the Orangeville Fair Grounds, on November 16, 2013.
Of course, now the training begins for next summer and the club has announced the late fall/winter season weekly schedule, as follows:
Sun 8:30 - 10:00 P.M. Thornlea High School - swim specifically geared towards triathletes. Bring your snorkel, fins and paddles.
Tuesday 8:45 - 10:15 P.M. Spin and Athletic Conditioning program. Thornhill Commumity Center - Spin session includes, intervals, time trials and endurance training. Emphasis on body position, cadence, workload. The land training component incorporates strength, core, alignment and flexibility using a variety of stable/unstable equipment through various disciplines (Yoga, Pilates, gymnastics, running drills and skills)
Saturday 8:00 - 9:30 outdoor run meets at Thornlea High School. Includes, cross country, time trials, tempos, endurance runs of varying distances on a variety of courses.
