Whoooa. Now here’s an item about one tough gal…
The lady is one of Coach Pimm's long-time clients, 50 year old Faith Nesdoly, formerly of Ontario, and now living in Germany the past 2 years. And this past weekend, Faith ran in the Berlin Marathon.
Now much of the buzz after the marathon was about the pace car’s display clock freezing and possibly causing the pacers to misjudge the desired WR pace (see here), as well as, a $500,000.00 issue concerning what appeared to be a less than maximal effort by the Kenyan who finished second, which you can read about here.
Sure all that’s interesting but what about what happened to Faith early on in the race?
Faith’s game plan was to run just under 5:00/km. which would result in a finishing time of under 3:30. She felt great at the start and, at the gun, went off settling immediately in to her planned pace.
All was going well….well, it was for the first 4 minutes that is, when suddenly and literally shockingly, one of the male runners stumbled in to her and sent her crashing to the pavement…..with only 41,195 metres to go…..ouch!

NASTY !!
Although, shaken up on the play, and with determination and anger in her heart, Faith picked herself up and resumed the chase, eventually finishing in 3:28:56.
