About Coach Peter Pimm, M.Sc., NCCP: Level 4
In 1981, Peter introduced a unique, private practice dedicated to assisting runners of all ages, and ability levels to achieve their goals.
His clientele ranges from first-time runners aiming to complete a 5 km. road race, or a duathlon, or a sprint triathlon, to those targeting the qualifying standards for the Boston Marathon and the Hawaii Ironman.
As a former university and club coach, Peter coached athletes who won numerous junior and senior provincial and national titles, set Canadian records, and were selected to compete in the World University, Commonwealth Games, World Jr. and Sr. Championships and the Olympic Games. He was also selected as a National Team Coach for the 1988 World Cross Country Championships, the 1995 World Indoor Championships, and the 1994Commonwealth Games.
His first Olympic athlete, Wayne Yetman, represented Canada in the marathon at the 1976 Olympics, and in 1980, he coached master runner, Derek Fernee, to a 2:19:41 marathon, which still stands as the Canadian Masters record.
In addition to his consulting practice, Peter is the Head Coach of the Greater Toronto Track Club.
