Due to some significant, and unexpected road work at the corner of Spadina Ave. and College St., a detour to the Bum Run's certified route is required.
The detour has the runners turning north off of College on to Huron, to Russell St., then left to Spadina. It also means the Start/Finish line has moved east to the intersection of Grosvenor St. and Queens Park Crescent East.
In order to insure an accurate, certified route, Race Director, and founder, Dr. Ian Bookman, commissioned Coach Pimm to measure the new route which he did - just 8 days before race day.
Thankfully, Athletics Canada has approved and Certified the new route (map below).
