On Sunday December 10, the Don Rowing Club, is hosting 5 and 10 km. road races in Port Credit, Mississauga.
The races start and finish at J.C. Saddington Park (Mississauga Road & Lake Street, Mississauga, ON) and the course are along the scenic Water Front Trail.
The 10 km starts at 8:30 a.m; and the 5 km starts at 9:00 a.m.
[ Note - although the courses will not be submitted to Athletics Canada for official certification, Coach Pimm has been commissioned to measure both routes to guarantee their accuracy. ]
The Don Rowing Club was first established in 1878 in downtown Toronto, near the base of the Don River; and eventually moved to Mississauga in the 1960s.
It is a not-for-profit community club offering a variety of recreation, seasonal, and competitive programs that facilitate the needs of novice athletes, community athletes, and competitive athletes of all ages.
