Coach Pimm will be putting his trusty Jones Counter in to action to accurately measure a new very flat and scenic route for the Mercedes-Benz Oakville 10km, happening on Sunday April 15, 2012. (Update March 24/12 - the route has now been certified by Athletics Canada.)
Starting and finishing on the sprawling park-like campus of 101-year old Appleby College, this beautiful newly designed route will traverse through picturesque downtown Oakville and includes stunning views of Lake Ontario.

The Mercedes-Benz Oakville 10K is a day in support of the
Oakville Community Foundation and designed to accommodate the whole family. Activities include a 10K Run/Power-walk, a 5K Run/Power-walk, a 1-kilometre Junior Jog and a 300-metre toddler trot.
This year, by random bib draw, one lucky 10K finisher (25 years or older) will have the opportunity to choose between a year of thrills with a 1-year lease of a Mercedes-Benz C250 Coupe or a summer of fun with a 4-month lease of a Mercedes-Benz SLK.
Hmmmm...... we do like the sounds of a 1-year lease of a Mercedes.
