1975 - began coaching career while working in medical research 
1976 to 1996 - Coach at the University of Toronto Track Club
1982 to 1995 (except 1983) - Coach of the University of Toronto's Cross Country and Indoor Track teams
1988 - Team Coach for World Cross Country Championships, Auckland, New Zealand
1991 - Voted Coach of the Year at the Canadian University Cross Country Championships 
1993 - Team Coach for the World Indoor Track & Field Championships, Toronto, Ontario
1994 - Team Coach for Commonwealth Games, Victoria, British Columbia 
1995 - Team Coach for World Indoor Track & Field Championships, Barcelona, Spain
2007 to 2008 - Master Coach and Task 12 Facilitator for the National Coaching Institute Ontario
2006 to Aug. 2010 - Consultant to University of Toronto's track programs & a club coach

1976 - Wayne Yetman wins the Canadian Olympic Trials Marathon in 2:16:32 and is selected to Canada's           
          Olympic Team 
1977 - Jack Friel wins the Police Games Marathon (Toronto) 
1978 - Neil Hendry is selected to Commonwealth Games Team in 5,000 meters in 14:07.7 
1980 - Derek Fernee - 3rd at the World Masters Championships in 2:19:41 (still Canadian record) 
1982 - University of Toronto Men's Cross Country Team wins Ontario and Canadian Championship 
1985 - Missy McCleary wins the Canadian Junior Cross Country Championship 
         - Rick Mannen wins the Toronto Marathon in 2:19:53 
1987 - Mannen wins Hong Kong Marathon in 2:20:51 
        - Brendan Matthias wins Canadian Junior Cross Country Championships and is selected to the National Team 
          for the World Junior Championships 
        - Paul Osland runs 400m indoors in 48.43 
1988 - Brendan Matthias wins Canadian Junior 1500 meter Championship and sets Canadian Jr. 1500 meter 
           record of 3:39.1      
         - Paul Osland wins Canadian Indoor Champs 800m in 1:51.32
         - Paul Osland is selected to the Olympic Team  and runs 1:46.26 for 800 meters
         - Michael Birke runs 800 meters in 1:46.9 at age 20 yr.
1990 - Paul Osland and Michael Birke are selected to Canada's Commonwealth Games Team; both are semi-
          finalists   
1991 - Brendan Matthias is ranked 1st in Canada with 3:39.07 for 1500 meters and wins the OTFA, OUAA, and 
          CIAU Cross Country Championships 
         - varsity  men's and women's Cross Country teams win the CIAU Team titles 
1992 - Matthias wins 5,000 Olympic Trials and is selected to Canada's Olympic Team - is ranked 1st in Canada 
          with 13:34.75 
        - Tim Phelan places 3rd in the 5,000 Olympic Trials 
        - Michael Birke wins Harry Jerome 800 in 1:47.92 
1993 - Matthias wins the Canadian 3,000 meter Championship and sets Canadian 3,000 indoor record of 7:50.90
         - places 8th at the World Indoor Championships                               
1994 - Matthias wins Canadian 10,000 meter Championship and is selected as a member of the Commonwealth     
           Games 
         - Ivan Gomez is the overall winner of the Runners' Choice road race series 
1995 - Liouda Alexeeff wins the Canadian 10,000 meter Championship 
         - Ivan Gomez wins the Bronze at the Canadian 5,000 meter Championship & represents Guatemala at the 
           Pan American Games where he places 6th in the 1500 meters in 3:45.98 and 5th in the 5000 meters in 
           13:58.73
1996 - Gomez wins the Central American 10,000 meters championships and is the 10,000 meters silver medallist 
          at the Canadian Championships 
         - Sarah Hunter wins the Canadian International Half Marathon 
1997 - Gomez wins the Canadian International Half Marathon 
          - Sarah Hunter wins the Philadelphia Marathon in 2:41:35 
1998 - Sarah Hunter wins the Gatorade Peterborough Half Marathon 
         - Ivan Gomez wins Buffalo's Shamrock 8 km in 24:38 
         - Glenda Morris (age:44) wins the Niagara Casino International Marathon (overall woman) in 3:06:31 
         - Ivan Gomez wins the Buffalo's 103rd Turkey Trot - 24:26 
2002 - Carolyn Silvey wins Austin Marathon (Masters category - age:46) in 2:58:19

2007 - Trevor Caldwell wins the Ontario Sr. 10,000m. 
2008 - Michael Trnkus wins Ontario and National Youth Championships 400m 
         - Dan Mathie places 3rd in Ofsaa Jr. Boys Cross Country 
2009 - Michael Trnkus wins Ont. Jr. Champs  and is 2nd at National Jr. Champs and qualifies for the Pan 
          American Jr. Games in Trinidad where he finishes 6th in the final in 47.58 and is a Bronze medalist in the 
          4 x 400m. relay  
2010 - Erika Jacobs wins the Ontario Sr. Indoor 800 and 1500m Championships
        - Michael Trnkus is selected to the National Team to compete at the World Junior Track and Field         
          Championships 
        - Michael Trnkus wins the Ontario Jr. Championship 400m 
        - Kyle Grieve (age16 yr.) runs 800m in 1:54.00 
        - Kyle Grieve wins the TDSSAA Sr. Cross Country Championships, and places 8th at the Sr. Ofsaa XC 
           Championships

1972 - won Hamilton's Round the Bay Race (19 miles 168 yards) in 1:40:18   
         - 8:25.8 for 3,000 meters - indoors 
         - 30:15 for 10,000 meters - track 
1980 - placed 13th in 2:25:22 at the Marine Corps Marathon (Washington D.C.)
