Stages of surfacing the Varsity Centre track
1. Blue liquid is poured out over the 1/2 inch thick black polyurethane compound which has been laid on an asphalt base.
2. The liquid is spread out to an uniform thickness.
3. and 4. Tiny blue rubber particles are shovelled out of a bin and thrown out over the surface to settle in to the liquid.
