Laura McFetridge - B.Sc.( Kin), RMT, ART, RHN
Registered Massage Therapist, Active Release Technique, Registered Holistic Nutritionist
Laura, graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Science specializing in Kinesiology. She later studied at the Canadian Therapeutic College (now Trillium College) and became a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
In addition, Laura has completed courses in Hot Stone Therapy (Level 1 & 2), and is an Active Release Technique (ART) provider. She's also a graduate from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.
She knows first-hand what an athlete experiences, having an extensive background in competitive gymnastics, swimming, and triathlons. Also, and while studying at York University she was a member of the Varsity Cross Country team.
Now a mother of 2 girls, Laura is no longer competing. However, her past results include:
- finishing as the 1st overall woman at the 2010 Canadian National Sprint Triathlon Championships in Kelowna, British Columbia;
- placing 8th overall in her age group at the 2009 World Triathlon Championships in Australia;
- 4th in her age category at the 2008 World Triathlon Championships in Vancouver.
And in 2013, she finished the Las Vegas Rock 'n Roll Half Marathon in a time of 1:37:57.
Currently, Laura works with recreational and elite athletes, as well as offering therapeutic massage for non-athletes.
NOTE - Laura's practice serves clients located between Stoney Creek and Beamsville, Ontario, including in the comfort of their homes or office.
